Το State Department εξέδωσε ανακοίνωση σύμφωνα με την οποία καλεί τους τουρίστες να μην πλησιάζουν, Ομόνοια και τις τριγύρω δρόμους γιατί όπως χαρακτηριστικά λένε είναι επικίνδυνα σημεία. Αναφέρει και τα Εξάρχεια καθώς και την πλατεία Αριστοτέλους στην Θεσσαλονίκη.
