Berger advised shooting it down at once [..]The White House Chief of Staff sent a coded, "top secret" message to the captain of the Roosevelt, who then informed the Suda naval base.[..]
A few minutes later, the helicopter was jolted by something. It began sputtering and flying in an erratic manner, while trying desperately to gain altitude and level off. After a while it fell into the sea.
