FAST έρευνες για ΠΡΟΦΙΛ ΤΡΟΜΟΚΡΑΤΩΝ

περίεργες έρευνες κάνει το Αμερικανικό Υπουργείο  Εσωτερικής Ασφάλειας (Department of Homeland Security -DHS-)   ώστε να εντοπίζονται άτομα ικανά για τρομοκρατικές ενέργειες.  Το ερευνητικό πρόγραμμα που εντοπίζει πιθανούς τρομοκράτες ονομάζεται (FAST) Future Attribute Screening Technology project.

Η κίνηση (γλώσσα) του σώματος, οι αλλαγές θερμοκρασίας του προσώπου, οι διακυμάνσεις στη φωνή, ο τονισμός των λέξεων, ο ρυθμός της αναπνοής, η ταχύτητα που ανοιγοκλείνουνε τα μάτια, η σταθερότητα στο βλέμμα, οι έντονες συναισθηματικές εκδηλώσεις είναι μερικά από τα χαρακτηριστικά που εξετάζονται σε εθελοντές που  συμμετέχουν στο FAST ( Future Attribute Screening Technology Mobile Module)
 Το website CNET αποκάλυψε έγγραφα που αποδεικνύουν τις FAST έρευνες δια μέσου της FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) Νόμου περί Ελευθερίας της Πληροφόρησης  και της σχετικής αίτησης του Ηλεκτρονικού Κέντρου Πληροφοριών Προστασίας Προσωπικών Δεδομένων  EPIC ( Electronic Privacy Information Center)
Οι έρευνες έχουν πλέον δημοσιευτεί και εκφράζονται έντονες ανησυχίες για κίνδυνο παραβίασης της ιδιωτικής ζωής.

 11 October, 2011 The US DHS wants to know what's on your insides.
They know where you live and know where you work. Now the government is considering a plan to monitor Americans’ speech rhythms, blinking rate and breathing patterns. This, they say, could help identify and eliminate threats to the nation.
DHS employees have already served as test subjects in FAST trial runs in which sensors collected “video images, audio recordings and psychophysiological measurements,” among other unidentified evaluations, in order to get into the minds of potential terrorists.
To CNET, DHS Deputy Press Secretary Peter Boogaard says FAST is designed to track and monitor body movements, voice pitch changes, fluctuations in rhythm and intonation, eye movement, body heat changes and breathing patterns in order to gather research that could help pin-point the inner workings of wrong-doers. Boogard says that preliminary research has already been conducted and that the DHS has used technological sensors and observational techniques to signal out signs of stress “associated with intent to do harm.”

 FAST is funded by S&T's Homeland Security Advanced Research Projects Agency, and is managed by S&T's Human Factors Behavior Sciences Division. FAST is designed to allow the agency capture biological and behavioral information from subjects. According to a 2008 Privacy Impact Assessment prepared by the agency, the DHS intends to monitor and collect data including "video images, audio recordings, cardiovascular signals, pheromones, electrodermal activity, and respiratory measurements."
EPIC filed two FOIA requests regarding the FAST Program and received several responsive documents detailing the scope of the technology
