Για λόγους διαφήμισης…κρέμασε ένα γαϊδουράκι σε θαλάσσιο αλεξίπτωτο (parasailing) που έλκονταν από ταχύπλοο. Το ζώο ούρλιαζε τρομαγμένο και όταν προσγειώθηκε στη θάλασσα μετά από μαρτύριο 30 λεπτών οι ιδιοκτήτες του κέντρου συνέχιζαν να το σέρνουν βάναυσα Σοκαρισμένοι οι θεατές που έβλεπαν το μαρτύριο του ζώου, ειδοποίησαν την αστυνομία, ο ιδιοκτήτης του γαιδάρου στη βιασύνη του για να αποφύγει την αστυνομία εγκατέλειψε μια καμήλα κι ένα άλογο που επίσης θα τα εξανάγκαζε να προσδεθούν στο θαλάσσιο αλεξίπτωτο.

The following statement has been produced by The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth,UK in response to the press coverage surrounding donkey cruelty in Russia.
Statement: We are absolutely shocked and appalled to learn that a donkey was made to parasail over a beach resort in Russia last week as part of an advertising publicity stunt. The donkey was strapped to the parasail and catapulted into the sky and would have been severely distressed, fearful and traumatised during the 30-minute flight. Donkeys are sensitive creatures and prone to suffer with a fatal condition called hyperlipaemia (a stress-related illness); we therefore have serious concerns over the present health of this donkey. This is the most senseless cruelty case Donkey Sanctuary has ever seen in over 40 years of operation and we are truly shocked that anybody could treat a donkey in this way. The suffering endured by this poor animal is totally unacceptable and we hope that justice is brought to the individuals responsible for this mindless act of cruelty.

The donkey that reportedly actually took to the skies is called Manya, and is still owned by the organizer of the parasailing stunt, who says he has no intention of giving her to anyone.

Tottenham Hotspur coach, Harry Redknapp, has decided to take care of a donkey called Anapka, from the Southern Russian city of Krasnodar.
The animal became famous after a group of locals sent her parasailing over the Sea of Azov.
"I am sickened by the actions of the scumbag who treated Anapka so badly. If I had my way, I'd throw the idiot in prison. He should be prosecuted for what he's done,” Redknapp told The Sun newspaper. The 63-year-old confessed that he came close to tears as he read about Anapka's torment, and now he’s going to put to her in a shelter, which he plans to open in the near future. "I'd happily find her a place to live comfortably," he added.
