ΟΙ ΝΕΟΙ ΣΥΜΜΑΧΟΙ ΤΟΥ BBC ΕΙΝΑΙ ΟΙ ΣΚΟΠΙΑΝΟΙ ΚΑΙ ΤΟ "MACEDONIAN BBC" - ΣΤΕΙΛΤΕ ΔΙΑΜΑΡΤΥΡΙΑ ΤΩΡΑ!

Όταν το BBC έκλεισε μετά από χρόνια "συμμαχικής" λειτουργίας τη Greek News Service, η οποία ήταν σημαντικότατο εργαλείο κατά το Β' Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο, αλλά και σε άλλες στιγμές της ιστορίας όπου χρησίμευσε για την Βρετανική προπαγάνδα, ήταν ένα σοκ για την ελληνική κυβέρνηση και τον χώρο των media. Οι λόγοι
υποτίθεται ήταν οικονομικοί.

Για δείτε το πάρακάτω, όπου μόλις το πήρα πρέφα και μου 'ρχεται να ξεράσω: οι νέοι σύμμαχοι του Βρετανικού BBC είναι οι Σκοπιανοί ("macedonian BBC") και αυτό εξηγεί εν μέρει και το γιατί το 99% των Βρετανών, ακόμη και μορφωμένοι με διδακτορικά, αποκαλούν ΣΥΝΕΧΩΣ τα Σκόπια ως Μακεδονία και δεν καταλαβαίνουν γιατί τσαντίζομαι ("Αφού έτσι το λέει το BBC").

Και για να δείτε τι βρωμιάρικο είναι το "συμμαχικό μας" BBC και πόσο πρώτοι στις
πουστοδικαιολογίες, δείτε τι μήνυμα μού έστειλαν όταν τους είχα διαμαρτυρηθεί
για το όνομα των Σκοπίων το 2006. Τώρα δεν χρησιμοποιούν δικαιολογίες και έπεσαν οι μάσκες.

I understand you have concerns that the BBC does not always refer to the
official title of the Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia with particular
reference to the BBC News Country Profiles website. I have, therefore,
forwarded your e-mail and details directly to the website owner. Thank you for
bringing this to our attention.

However, it is not always feasible to constantly repeat the full name of a
country when there is so much other information to report upon. We will show,
where possible, the full title on websites and television screens and within
the introduction and naming of the country, but we will, in the main, use the
shortened name i.e. Macedonia during our reports. I can assure this is not
meant as a slight to any national or representative of FYRM but is referring to
the country by a name that is familiar to a large section of the public.

Nevertheless, I realise that you may continue to hold a different view on the
matter. Therefore, please be assured that your comments have been fully
registered and added to our daily audience log. This is an internal document
that is made available to all BBC staff, including Senior BBC Management. Your
feedback is more than welcome and will help shape future policy decisions.
