PUPPY TRAFFICKING στην ΑΓΓΛΙΑ, 87 κουτάβια κατασχέθηκαν

ΑΓΓΛΙΑ, Offerton, Greater Manchester.  87 κουτάβια κατασχέθηκαν μετά από έρευνα της αστυνομίας για online εμπόριο άρρωστων ζώων.
Τα κουτάβια είναι νεογέννητα, μόλις λίγων εβδομάδων και ανήκουν σε διάφορες ράτσες όπως French Bulldogs, West Highland Terriers και Pomeranians.
Η αστυνομία που συνεργάστηκε με τη φιλοζωική οργάνωση RSPCA βρήκε τα κουτάβια σε ένα ακίνητο, στην περιοχή Offerton. 
Στοιβαγμένα μέσα σε κουβάδες, μόλις που ανέπνεαν. Νεογέννητα με απαλό χνούδι, κοίταζαν ικετευτικά τη φωτογραφική μηχανή. Τα άτυχα μωρά αντί να χαίρονται τη μητρική φροντίδα, κατέληξαν μέσα στους κουβάδες των αδίστακτων εμπόρων, που θα τα πουλούσαν για χριστουγεννιάτικα δώρα.
Τέσσερα από τα κουτάβια βρέθηκαν νεκρά, ενώ τα δύο ήταν πεταμένα σε ένα κουβά, μέσα σε ένα παρκαρισμένο αυτοκίνητο.
Ένας άνδρας συνελήφθη για παράνομη εκτροφή ζώων και μια γυναίκα συνελήφθη γιατί τον βοηθούσε και τον υποκινούσε στην εγκληματική πράξη.
Τα κινητά τους τηλέφωνα και οι υπολογιστές τους κατασχέθηκαν, αφού υπήρχε καταγγελία για online εμπόριο ζώων.

The 87 puppies were found in a property in Offerton, Greater Manchester, in a joint police and RSPCA raid. Many were stuffed in buckets, which it is believed were used to snatch them from their mothers.

Pedigree puppies can sell for £800 or more, but unscrupulous dealers undercut legitimate breeders, selling the animals in car parks, online and through pet shops Sergeant Mike Cooper, of Greater Manchester Police, said: 'We witnessed some shocking scenes yesterday and we will do everything we can to assist the RSPCA in any future prosecution or operation.'
Chief Inspector Ian Briggs, from the RSPCA's special operations unit, said: 'There are thousands of dogs in rescue centres desperately looking for new homes, but many people continue to fuel the trade in imported puppies by buying from rogue sellers who simply see the animals as money makers.
The RSPCA also urged anyone looking to buy a dog to ensure they view puppies with their mother in the place where they were bred
