ΠΤΩΧΕΥΣΗ και ΛΟΥΚΕΤΟ στο Παρατηρητήριο του Ελσίνκι

Αίτηση για ΠΤΩΧΕΥΣΗ και ΚΛΕΙΣΙΜΟ υπέβαλε το INTERNATIONAL HELSINKI FEDERATION for HUMAN RIGHTS στο Εμπορικό Δικαστήριο της Βιέννης!

Η ανακοίνωση έγινε στις 7 Δεκεμβρίου 2007.

Ο λόγος ήταν μία βαρύτατη οικονομική κρίση που επήλθε εξαιτίας σοβαρών οικονομικών εγκλημάτων που ομολόγησε ο πρώην οικονομικός διευθυντής της οργάνωσης τα οποία ελάμβαναν χώρα κατά τη διάρκεια αρκετών ετών.

Η σχετική δίκη ξεκινάει στις αρχές του Ιανουαρίου του 2007. Αποτέλεσμα των παραπάνω η Μη Κυβερνητική Οργάνωση τελεί υπό διάλυση και τα γραφεία θα κλείσουν εντός ολίγων ημερών. Στις 30 Ιανουαρίου 2008 θα πραγματοποιηθεί η ρευστοποίηση

Σημειώνουμε ότι το κλείσιμο αφορά την ΚΕΝΤΡΙΚΗ και ΚΥΡΙΑ οργάνωση του παρατηρητηρίου του Ελσίνκι που είχε επιλέξει για έδρα την Βιέννη της Αυστρίας. Αφορά δηλαδή το ΚΕΝΤΡΟ διοίκησης της οργάνωσης κι όχι απλά κάποιο τοπικό παράρτημα.

Αυτά είναι συνοπτικά όσα ανακοινώνονται στην κεντρική σελίδα της ΜΗ ΚΥΒΕΡΝΗΤΙΚΗΣ ΟΡΓΑΝΩΣΗΣ που οι Έλληνες γνωρίζουν από πολλές ανυπόστατες καταγγελίες κατά της χώρας μας.

Θυμίζουμε ότι το Ρωσικό παράρτημα της συγεκριμένης οργάνωσης βρέθηκε στο επίκεντρο έρευνας σε υπόθεση ΚΑΤΑΣΚΟΠΕΙΑΣ.

ΓΕΝΙΚΕΥΜΕΝΗ ΚΡΙΣΗ:

Σε προηγούμενη ανακοίνωση της ίδιας οργάνωσης αναφέρεται ότι ΑΠΟΠΕΜΦΘΗΚΕ το Παράρτημα του Παρατηρητηρίου του Ελσίνκι στην Μολδαβία διότι ... ΝΤΡΟΠΙΑΣΕ και ΖΗΜΙΩΣΕ την οργάνωση!

Δεν μπορούμε παρά να ΥΠΟΔΕΧΤΟΥΜΕ με χαρά αυτά τα νέα διότι ΔΕΝ μπορούμε να πούμε ότι είμασταν ικανοποιημένοι από τη συμμετοχή ενός ανθρώπου όπως ο Τζορτζ Σόρος στην ίδρυση και διοίκηση ιδρυμάτων που υποτίθεται προστάτευαν τους αδύναμους του πλανήτη από τους κακούς και αδίστακτους ανθρώπους ... σαν εμάς τους Έλληνες.

Σιγή ιχθύος από το Ελληνικό Παράρτημα του Δημητρά, το οποίο πλεόν εμφανίζεται ΠΡΟΣΤΑΤΗΣ των δικαιωμάτων όλων των καταπιεσμένων των Βαλκανίων.

Για τους Βούλγαρους των Σκοπίων ... κάποιοι κάνουν τις πάπιες, για τους Έλληνες τουρίστες στα Σκόπια επίσης.

Να δούμε τώρα ΠΟΙΟΣ θα χρηματοδοτεί τους Έλληνες "ΑΓΙΟΥΣ" των αδικημένων.

IHF Forced to Close DownVienna, 7 December 2007Dear colleagues, friends and supporters,With deep regret I must inform you that on 27 November 2007, in my capacity as the President of the “International Helsinki Federation for Human Rights (IHF)”, I was forced to submit a request of bankruptcy to the Commercial Court in Vienna to start an insolvency procedure (the IHF is registered in Austria and is therefore bound by Austrian law). This had to be done due to the Federation’s grave financial crisis caused by an economic crime.

The former IHF financial manager has been taken in pre-trial detention after he confessed to having embezzled a large amount of money over several years. Two other external persons are under investigation as well.Their criminal trial will start in early January next year.

As a result, as of 27 November 2007, the IHF is a NGO in dissolution. Its office will be closed within a few days and the organization can no longer implement projects, organize human rights advocacy, issue statements or reports.

On January 30th, 2008, the liquidator who primarily has to bear in mind the interests of the creditors of the IHF will present the final results of his efforts to the Commercial Court which then will decide upon the final liquidation of the organization.

ΠΡΟΤΕΛΕΥΤΑΙΑ ΑΝΑΚΟΙΝΩΣΗ ΤΟΥ 2007

Statement of the IHF General Assembly on the Current Financial Crisis of the IHF and the Future of the Helsinki MovementHelsinki, 18 November 2007.

The International Helsinki Federation for Human Rights (IHF) held its 25th anniversary and General Assembly on 15-18 November 2007 in Helsinki, the city of the 1975 Final Act of the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe. As part of the Assembly, a seminar was held at the Finnish Parliament on “Prospects and Challenges of the Human Rights Movement”, with among others Christian Strohal, director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights in Warsaw, as speaker.An unexpected challenge to the movement was the Federation’s grave financial crisis.

At the end of September it became clear that the IHF had fallen victim to a massive fraud. The former IHF financial manager has been taken in pre-trial custody and two external persons are under investigation.

The IHF is short of a significant amount of money affecting its liquidity and will probably have to submit in the near future a request of bankruptcy to the Austrian Commercial Court – the Federation being registered in Vienna.

At the General Assembly, the representatives of the national Helsinki committees vested the Executive Committee with the task to take care of the probable dissolution of the IHF.

However, the Assembly stated that the Helsinki movement, which started in 1976, is not dependent on the Federation, as the movement existed before the formation of the Federation. Initiatives were discussed among the members to continue co-operation in the future. A task force composed of some of the interested committees will look into possibilities of developing new forms of co-operation.

The Assembly expressed its satisfaction with the substantive work of the IHF Secretariat, including the valuable reports on human rights in the OSCE region. The challenge to the member committees now is to provide each other with the services offered through the last 25 years by the Federation’s staff in Vienna.

The Assembly unanimously expressed its commitment to the movement and the obligation of its members to continue their work to safeguard human rights in a situation characterized by violations in many OSCE countries, both in the East and in the West.

The Helsinki Movement will continue to act as a watchdog for human rights, democracy and the rule of law and as a promoter of civil society in OSCE member states, in co-operation with the relevant international institutions.The General Assembly Meeting also took the decision to expel the Moldovan Helsinki Committee (MHC) in accordance with its Statutes because the Committee had discredited and damaged the Federation.
